LOCKED & LOADED
By Keesa Wynne
Fella, I don’t know what led you to this here homestead;
But if you don’t get your ass back in that truck, you will wind up dead.
I reckon you can’t read; or you just think you’re slick.
But you won’t be so slick when you hear my shotgun click.
From your smirk, I can tell you think I’m teasing;
That No Trespassing sign is on my gate for a damn good reason.
Coming up here with your feelings and emotions;
Acting like you'll cure me with this magical love potion.
Listen, I’ve told you once and I’ll tell you again;
I have no interest in being more than friends.
On this here land, I freely roam;
I have no interest in sharing my secluded little home.
Now, this is the last warning - you better do as you’re told;
Get back in your truck and head back down that road.
Sir - for the last time - I’m not buying what you’re selling;
And you better stop all that damn yelling.
I don’t care how many times I’ve been scolded;
I will forever keep this here shotgun locked & loaded.
